The IT company Andersen invites an experienced System Administrator (Linux) to work on a large-scale project in the field of Fintech.

The customer is a UK-based next-generation integrated global payment ecosystem with the clear mission to change how money is moved around the world. The company currently supports cross-network operability globally across Mastercard, Visa, China UnionPay and local ACH and payment schemes, providing over 40 payment methods for online SMEs.

The project aims to leverage the customer’'s cutting-edge technology and expertise to provide individuals and businesses with fast, secure, and cost-effective payment services across borders.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploying and administering virtual machines in AWS and VMware.
  • Automating infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Managing and optimizing database on the OS level.
  • Monitoring and diagnosing server and network performance.
  • Access management, user permissions configuration, and sudo settings.
  • Security management, firewall configuration, and DNS records administration.
  • Setting up and administering server services, including Zabbix, PostgreSQL, and Nginx.
  • Ensuring high availability and load balancing for critical services.
  • Managing disk subsystems, configuring RAID, and file systems.
  • Automating updates and maintaining servers with minimal downtime.
  • Troubleshooting incidents related to performance, availability, and networking.

Must-haves:

  • Experience as a System Administrator for 3+ years.
  • Experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in clustering, patching, data management, and optimization at the OS level.
  • Proficiency with Ansible, Terraform, and Nginx.
  • Understanding of networking concepts and configurations.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with AWS and/or GCP.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
  • Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
